A little bit about
Campbell's Hamsters:
Campbell's Dwarf Russian Hamsters are native to northern China, central
Asia and some parts of Russia. In their natural habitat they live in
colonies and dig deep burrows in the ground. They live on seeds and
wild vegetation, and are most active during the early morning hours and
dusk.

In
captivity, the average lifespan of a Campbell's Dwarf hamster is 1.5 to 2
years, during which they co-exist happily in pairs or groups. This
is unlike the larger and more common Syrian Hamster, which must be kept
alone or they will fight!
Campbell's Hamsters are friendly and sociable little creatures and love
attention from both their group mates and their owners! They need
fresh water and food daily, plus regular cage cleaning to maintain a clean
environment. They are prone to diabetes and should not be fed any
sugary foods or snacks. Like many other rodents, they need something
to gnaw on to keep their teeth from overgrowing - a simple unfinished
wooden toy or a dog biscuit will work nicely.
Our hamsters are family-raised and
handled from birth to insure they are ready to become pets.
Weanlings are housed in same-sex groups so pairs and groups can be sold
together - Campbell's Hamsters love having a friend!
Weaned hamsters are currently available
and we also offer complete cage setup packages for your convenience!
